Jerusha Green was born and bred in South Manchester, studied Scriptwriting and Performance at the University of East Anglia and moved to London shortly after graduating.
She was a member of the Royal Court Theatre’s playwriting group and invitation studio group (2014/15).
She is interested in writing plays which experiment with style, content and form in a way that challenges audiences and incites conversation. She believes theatre ought to be oppositional and divisive, but it should also be a source of disarming pleasure.
Credits include: rehearsed reading of recreation (Arcola Theatre) 2015; sharing of are we there yet? (Pleasance Theatre Islington) 2016; adaptation of frankenstein for young actors (Magdalen College School, Oxford) 2017.
