Elspeth Merry started her career in journalism, working for the Sunday Times before realising her true love of music and becoming music editor of 1883 Magazine. With a grasp on the media landscape and interest in the music industry, Elspeth moved into Publicity and started representing artists at inside/out. After two years she joined Island Records as Junior Publicist, quickly becoming an integral part of the label team and leading successful press campaigns for artists including Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Sigrid, BENEE, Sports Team, Ray BLK, Miraa May and Masego. Elspeth was promoted to Senior Publicist and nominated twice for PR Campaign of the year at the Music Week Awards for her work with Sigrid. Elspeth rejoined inside/out this year to become Head of Publicity at the award-winning boutique PR entertainment agency. Underpinning the 28-year-old’s work is a love of storytelling, the belief in the power of the written word, and women’s empowerment in the workplace, which led to Elspeth co-founding Her Hustle.
