Signe Sofie Hansen is based in Beirut and working as a social development specialist at the World Bank focusing on primarily displacement issues in the Middle East and North Africa region. Previously, she was working on Palestinian refugees’ rights at the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee. She has conducted field research on migration using primarily visual participatory methods as part of King’s College London’s Migration Research Group as well as for her MA thesis at University of Copenhagen. Her research projects have focused on amplifying the voices and perspectives of migrants as well as on the power between state authorities and migrants’ agency.
