Mei Yuk Wong was born in Hong Kong. Her first degree was in Theology and she was awarded by South East Asia Graduates School of Theology in Hong Kong, 1989. In 1992-3, she studied Women and Development at Institute of Social Studies, The Hague. Since 1998 she has lived in England. After finishing her studies at Wimbledon School of Art in 1999 and London Guildhall University in 2000,she moved to Manchester. She is a visual artist, textile designer, writer and poet. She is a founding member of the "Centre for International Women Artists" in Manchester - a collective studio, gallery and events space supporting the continuing professional development of international women artists.
