Cat, who has just been listed in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2022, is an actor, writer, author, gender advisor to the UN & founder/CEO of award-winning Kusini Productions, a company established to create opportunities, change the narrative and champion voices of Black women and girls.
As an actor she is best known as series regular Josephine in Swedish series Threesome, for which she has just wrapped up filming Season 2 and Laura in Amazon's Ten Percent. She is currently in preparation for the return of a multiple Emmy Award winning major TV series. She was recently selected for Channel 4 and We Are Parable's 2022 Momentum Programme and has made a range of short films which have been selected at BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals worldwide.
She is proud to be both state school educated and an Oxford University alumni - and especially of writing her thesis on Beyonce (and getting a first!)
Cat’s debut book This Thread of Gold, and essay series The Black Take are due to be published in 2023 by Dialogue Books. Her debut screenplay as writer, Fifty-Four Days, has just started its festival run and will premiere at the BAFTA qualifying British Urban Film Festival later this year. Cat also co-directed, produced and stars in the film.
Cat is very proud to be an Ambassador for PAPYRUS, the UK’s National Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
